The Mark of Integrity
At the heart of a Forevermark diamond lies an enduring commitment to integrity. Our unique inscription is an assurance that it has met Forevermark’s standards of beauty, rarity and that it has been resposibly sourced.
From the moment a Forevermark inscribed diamond is unearthed, it is tracked and monitored at each stage of its journey to ensure conflict-free diamonds that are untreated and completely natural.
Integrity in our business is as important as the integrity of our diamonds. As part of our CSR (corporate social responsibility), we ensure that all employees and communities from diamond producing areas benefit from legal, safe and responsible business practices.
A Forevermark diamond is a conflict-free diamond, handcrafted with care. It is essential to us that your lifelong symbol of love is selected with the utmost respect for the natural world and the people it touches along its journey.
Each Forevermark diamond source must comply with the Kimberley Process, an international monitoring system co-founded by the De Beers Group with the aim of eradicating the trade in conflict diamonds.
Ethical sourcing is at the heart of a Forevermark diamond. We examine the human rights standards, political climate and socio-economic profile of every community which might be a source of Forevermark diamonds.

Natural and Untreated
A Forevermark inscribed diamond honours and reflects natural beauty in all its unvarnished glory. Only diamonds verified as completely natural and untreated can acquire the Forevermark inscription.
To earn the confidence of its owner, a Forevermark inscribed diamond undergoes rigorous testing. At the Forevermark Diamond Institute, highly experienced diamond graders are tasked with detecting if a diamond has been synthetically treated to enhance its appearance. To earn the confidence of its owner, a Forevermark inscribed diamond undergoes rigorous testing. At the Forevermark Diamond Institute, highly experienced diamond graders are tasked with detecting if a diamond has been synthetically treated to enhance its appearance. They are helped by technology developed over many years by the De Beers Group, including state-of-the-art instruments such as DiamondSure™, DiamondView™, and DiamondPlus™, which detect when a diamond has been synthesized under high pressure or by Chemical Vapour Deposition. They also detect any clarity or colour enhancements, including laser drilling, fracture filling and colour coating.
The Forevermark Diamond Institute
Forevermark diamonds are tested, authenticated and inscribed at the Forevermark Diamond Institute, which has set its own high standards in the accuracy and consistency of diamond grading. Our expert team uses meticulous, standardised processes, bespoke software and proprietary grading instruments to create an accurate and consistent profile of each diamond. To add precision, accuracy and consistency, they also use a system of sub-grades for colour and clarity to result in the selection of stunning, natural diamonds.
Extreme care and patience is required in the production of a Forevermark inscribed diamond. Each diamond must pass these tests at least five times before it will finally be inscribed with the Forevermark icon and its own unique identification number.
The Forevermark Integrity Requirements
The beauty of a Forevermark diamond is made deeper in the knowledge that it has been sourced with responsibility across the entire supply chain. The Forevermark Integrity Requirements set out the principles our partners who help realise a Forevermark diamond must meet: from the experts who cut and polish Forevermark diamonds (known as Authorised Forevermark Diamantaires); to the Authorised Forevermark Manufacturers who feature Forevermark diamonds in Forevermark jewellery; and the Authorised Forevermark Jewellers who present Forevermark jewellery to you.
Our uncompromising standards mean all of our partners must maintain a good and honest business reputation, never misrepresent synthetic, treated, or simulated stones as natural diamonds, and never subject Forevermark diamonds to any form of enhancement or artificial treatment. We use Société Générale de Surveillance, an ethical supply chain specialist and the largest independent third party auditor in the world, to verify that Forevermark Diamantaires meet our demands.
The Positive Luxury Butterfly Mark
Forevermark is proud to have been awarded the Positive Luxury Butterfly Mark in recognition of our outstanding commitment to ensuring that Forevermark diamonds are responsibly and ethically sourced.
The Butterfly Mark is a unique Trust Mark that recognises luxury brands’ commitments to craftsmanship, service and sustainability, and helps create a memorable shopping experience, building loyalty and trust.
Authorised Forevermark Diamantaries
A Forevermark diamond can be cut and polished only by Authorised Forevermark Diamantaires. The beauty and integrity of a Forevermark diamond is furthered by its support of local sorting, cutting and polishing industries. The De Beers Group encourages the sale of a proportion of its diamonds to local customers for manufacturing in countries where diamonds are sourced. This keeps the value of those diamonds in the country, and encourages the creation of thriving local communities.
